Amy co-founded Skill and Ability Education and is the Director of Programming. Amy supports clients and staff, connects with community partners and completes various organizational activities to support moving the mission forward.
Amy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before moving to Chicago for about 10 years. While living there, she worked for Chicago Public Schools, a Community Mental Health agency and earned her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 2012. Immediately prior to starting Skill and Ability Education, Amy worked as a school social worker in Whitmore Lake Public Schools.
From her time as a school social worker, Amy learned about and supported students in accessing services through Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS), ultimately leading to the decision to co-found Skill and Ability Education in 2018.
