TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Vocational Support: Kiki Esselman
Kiki began working at Skill and Ability Education in March 2024 as a Job Development Coordinator, assisting clients in job placement, work readiness and various aspects of work preparation. Along with supporting individual clients with their employment goals, Kiki co-facilitates employment skill building workshops through the Washtenaw County Youth Center.
Kiki received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from an accredited university in Ohio. After graduating, Kiki focused on careers involving youth development such as spending 2 years as an AmeriCorps member with City Year and becoming a Registered Behavior Technician, with a focus on youth on the autism spectrum. Back in 2016, Kiki created an empowerment group called Q.U.E.E.N.S for youth girls at a K-8th school in a low income community in Cleveland; this group created a safe space for the young ladies to work together and learn best practices for navigating their emotions and loving themselves.
When she is not working, Kiki enjoys spending time with family/friends, traveling, trying something new, listening to music, and playing board games or video games.
